This scares me tremendously!  I often think about the dangers that will be around when our son is a teenager and young adult.  I think that in many ways things get easier with each generation because of the developments in society, but in other ways it has gotten so much harder and more dangerous.  The deseases, cancer, aids, will they have cures by then or will they become more widespread.  Violence?  Will they have a hold on it or will you have to be scared to leave your home.  It petrifys me!!

The Bible says that in the last days the earths waters will be filled w wormwood  which translated  means pollution   to point of being  unusable   for consumption... indeed   we have reached about that level   and that IS a VERY SOBERING thought ..... Funny that   its US  the consumers who are actually most responsible for our own earths destruction   We use most things  weve been  taught is disposable w litte thought to where all the trash ends up.... we have a park here in Va.... Mount Trashmore    guess what is under the  park... the  Landfill!!!!  Mountains of trash and more amazingly  is the number of visitors to go use and enjoy it.... I get ill when I wonder at the toxins   in the soil . Sammi always had severe allergic reactions few times we went to veiw fireworks as child.... and my conscience made me stop going there    .... But our ocean waters   testing has confirmed that there are dangerous levels of human waste  (feces), alongside the multitude of chemical  contamination..... and makes you ill just to think about it all..... The plastics  described in this article   isnt a huge surprize  but instead   wake up call to society   Thank You Stephen  for share

I do worry about the future of my children. I would like for them to always be happy and don't have to worry about the bad things in life. Sad to say that doesn't always happen. The only thing we can do as parents is teach them well. We can do our part by cleaning up after ourselves. We can pick up trash we see as we are walking down the street or anywhere we go. We can recycle what ever we can. We can just try too do better for ourselves and our kids. We have many stupid people on earth that don't think about others and just think about themselves. I can only try to make it alittle better for my children as they grow up and hope that when they are adults they can make a deiference.

I'll check out this link at home...but without looking at it, I can say I don't think we are leaving our kids a world in the same condition as what we have - it will be worse from many angles.

At some point, I hope to have more time to dedicate to the "bigger" cause and make even more of a difference for change.

Right now, I focus on what I have immediate control over and always try to be mindful of what I can do in my day-to-day living to make a difference.  I am already talking to my son about picking up after ourselves (not littering) and not being wasteful of natural resources, giving back, so that it is the way of life for us.
