Title: Weird Question
Posted: 1 years ago

Ok, I have a weird question. I am only 15 weeks pregnant now and have already gone up two bra cups sizes. I am having an awful time finding 34DD bras. Is there such a thing as a maternity bra? Where do I find one? I don't want to order online becuase I need to be able to try them on.  How much did you guys grow while pregnant? I am curious how much bigger I should expect to get.

Title: Weird Question

Have you tried looking at Motherhood Maternity.  I remember that they had bras there that were larger than some of the other stores.  I purchased nursing bras, and wore them before my baby was actually born.  They were cotton so they were comfortable and they did stretch.

I am fairly small chested, and went from a 34B up to a 38D.  That was HUGE for me!  Hubby was loving it!Wink   After nursing and eventually losing all my weight, I went down to a 34A.Frown

Best wishes....

I don't remember how much I grew and I ended up winging most of my pregnancy.  I bought a couple of bras a few sizes too big, having them looser was actually more comfortable for me and because I didn't know I wasn't buying a new one every month.

If you are planning to nurse, you may want to invest in some nursing bras now - a size or two bigger.  I also went wireless - gave me more flexibilty and comfort.

I think everyone is a bit different, I did not grow significanlty after my milk came in so that concept worked for me.

Motherhood maternity is a great recommendation, the ladies there helped me understand pros / cons of different styles.

If you don't mind them, sports bras or the built in tank-tops are really comfortable - again they make the nursing tank-tops that already have a built in support system.

Try at your local Maternity shops. You should have one in your town.

Nursing bras are very comfortable.  You don't have to be nursing to wear one.

I actually have no idea...I know I went from pretty big (implants) to HUGE!!!!! but...I also was having twins......I can tell you that I used sprots bras mostly all of the time......I do have a favorite bra that I used during my pregnancy and after that fits me now then and now again......It was a little bit of money like $45...but its the bra that Oprah Winfrey wears..(spelling) its called SPANX by sara Blakely  and the bra line is called Bra-llelujah!   It is so comfy.....totally the best bra ever!!!! (no wires no clips no buckles) all one piece its like panyhose materil but like 6 times thicker and all the straps are about 2 inches on shoulders and across back.....no lines no rolls....so comfy

I went from really to only regular small.Embarassed  So I didn't have the problem of finding bras in big sizes.  I do agree with the advice that nursing bras are good to wear.  They are very comfy.  And if you do nurse, you're supposed to stay away from bras with underwires as it can contribute to clogged ducts.  Good luck.

Kohls is a great resource for nursing bras which once I started growing in that area, i began to wear them because they were so comfortable.  The two that I liked the best I bought at Kohls.  Happy shopping!!

I also bought my nursing bras at Kohls.  You can also find larger sizes in the bras that come in the boxes at department stores.  I wore one that was 2 sizes larger than I normally wore without any underwire.  I carried ery high and found that the further along I got the more I wore Camis with bulit in bras and sport bras.  The regular bras seems to cut off my circulation and they seemed to make my acid reflux worse-  NO ONE WANTS THAT!!!

Try one at a time- check out maternity stores-  the salespeople are helpful!

What size were you to start with? I went from a 34/36C to an overflowing 38D. But the good thing was that I got that big within the first couple of months, so maybe you're done "growing." The other moms' suggestions about going ahead and getting soft cup nursing bras are the best.

I went from a 34 D to a 42 G actually went bigger but at that point bras hurt.. i had to go to motherhood  stores in the mall because i couldn't find that size any where. and they only had one left. i am still pretty huge and the G still fits. but its a nursing bra and it helps since i nurse and it is pretty comforable. I miss my old boobs though. i can't wait til they shrink again..lol
