MommyTalk.com Goes Live
MommyTalk.com™ launches free online social community for parents
PHOENIX, ARIZONA—August 22, 2006—The Web's newest social community for parents, MommyTalk.com, launched today, offering members a variety of family-oriented services including the ability to create a family homepage with individual, safe pages for kids. The site connects a community of parents through blogs, forums, chat groups, family pages with photos and videos, private messaging and more.
"We're excited to offer an online social network specifically for families in a safe, fun environment," said Travis Moss, President and CEO of MommyTalk.com. "The trend isn't new, but focusing on families who are primarily concerned with safety is innovative."
Lorraine Moss, co-founder and the "Original Mommy Talker" played a large role in determining what capabilities the site should have.
"Not only did I want to have my own page, upload photos and videos, but I also wanted to be able to talk to other parents in a safe environment," said Lorraine.
MommyTalk.com is officially endorsed by Arizona's 2006 "Mother of the Year," Shelice Millett. Shelice earned the prestigious title from the Arizona Association of American Mothers Inc., the state chapter of a Washington-based association aimed at strengthening families, for her outstanding parenting of six young children, her community involvement and her upbeat, positive attitude.
"I am thrilled to be a part of MommyTalk.com," said Shelice. "It is going to be an amazing, creative resource in which I can share my experiences and knowledge with other parents and connect with family and friends."
Armed with the knowledge that parents have warranted concerns about online safety, MommyTalk.com provides a safety net to its members, giving them the option to lock their profile. This security feature allows only those who are given permission by the user to view their profile and chat.
"Our number one priority is to keep MommyTalk.com a safe yet special, creative outlet for parents," said Travis.
Members will have full access to the site for free.
