by Onna Holland

Here is a fun Father's Day craft to make with your child. Father's day is coming up and what better gift for Dad then a Family portrait? Kids really enjoy making their family and drawing their face, picking the clothes etc. You can help your child to create this family portrait!! They will certainly need your help with cutting the material and gluing it in the right place.

Supplies:

-Material-in different colors-this will be used to make pants, shirts, dresses etc

-Glue

-Scissors

-Big piece oaktag

-Yarn

-Markers

Steps:

-Cut circles for faces

-Then have them pick an out fit for each family member and line it up.

-Once Lined up-Have them draw hands and feet, before gluing.

-Then glue pants, shirt on the paper in the correct spot.

-Draw with marker the face

-You can have your child draw hair, or cut yarn and glue it

-Help your child write everyone's name underneath the person.

-Make sure they tell you who is who in the family portrait, often I am surprised by who they pick to be mom, dad etc.

You can get even more creative and have your child make a card with her/his favorite things to do with dad, to give him on father's day with the portrait. Have fun!
