Wind Sock for a Windy Day

by Onna Holland

windsock

There are so many fun things you can do with your child on a windy day. Fly a kite, see how the leaves move, see how your wind sock or wind chimes move. I love the feel of the wind on cool summer day. A fun activity to do on a nice Windy day is read a book. A great book I would suggest is Like a Windy Day by Frank Asch. This is a fun book with beautiful pictures. It explores what fun it would be to play like a windy day. After reading this book you could make a wind sock and watch how it dances in the wind!! I have made it out of construction paper. But if you wanted it to last you could make it out of the craft foam you can buy.
