Mail Box Craft

by Onna Holland

Kids Love Mail!! We used to drive around in search of the mail trucks for my son to see. The mailman coming down the block has always been a big event in our house. So what better game to play then Mail Person! Create this fun and easy Mailbox and some mail to go along with it and have fun playing mail! Let the kids "write" the letters, Fold and tape them then deliver them To the mailbox. If you have a few kids playing, one can be the Mail collector at the box, and another (or a few others) can get the mail from the mail collector and deliver them to other places in the house! This way there is a job for everyone! Of course you will need to rotate the mail collector position as this is one of the most desired position. You can get really creative with decorating the mail box(s) and letters!

Supplies:

-Large Box

-Heavy duty scissors

-Glue Stick

-Tape

-Crayons

-large sheet of paper or brown paper bag

-construction paper

Steps:

boxx

-Cut a hole large enough for the kids to put their hand in and get the mail out

-Cover Box(except hole) With paper or brown Paper bag

-Glue and tape box. I wrapped it like a present, plus put glue on the box so it really stuck.

boxx2

-Decorate the box, with the word Mail and a picture of an envelope-and anything else you desire.
