Applesauce Muffins

Deliciously Simple

This week's recipe is for deliciously simple applesauce muffins, ideal for older babies who are happily enjoying finger foods.

You will need:

1/4 cup butter (softened)

1/4 cup sugar

1 egg

1/3 cup applesauce

1 cup flour

2tsp baking powder

pinch cinnamon

1. Preheat the oven to 390 deg F (200 deg C).

2. Cream the butter and sugar together in a bowl until the mixture is light.

3. Beat in the egg until fluffy.

4. Beat in the applesauce.

5. Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl, then mix them with the wet ingredients.

6. Spoon the mixture into greased muffin tins and bake for around 15 mins, until golden.
